Luke Carter and the Sword of Kings is one of the most imaginative novels I have ever read. Taking place in the modern-era, the book gives American compettition of wizardry mostly familiarized with Europe. Luke Carter is one of those books you pick up and cant put down until you're finished, it's one those books that makes kids pretend to be sick so they can miss school and finish the chapter they are on.

Since my mother is a freelance artist, she gets a lot of manuscripts sent her way for possible illustration projects. Many are manuals or children's books and few are novels. When the manuscript for Luke Carter and the Sword of Kings came along I was very interested in reading it. It turned out to be a thrilling novel that kept me reading until the very last words. I feel this fictional novel is a story that is appropriate and entertaining for all ages. It provides a separate ³illusional² or ³magical² feeling in the world of reading and story telling for the younger reader,
while maintaining a thrilling sense of adventure for the older reader.

Luke Carter and the Sword of Kings is a book that will give pleasure to all age groups. I particularly liked the brilliant opening chapters where the reader is fed a small taste of the excitement to come, right through to the end when all the mysteries and secrets of Luke's birthright are revealed.
